Every archive relocation begins with an inventory assessment of all files and archival materials to be transported. During this process, we review the spatial structure, volume and format of the archive concerned. Based on this, we plan the transport of the archival materials and the secure placement of all items at the new archive location.
Precise cataloguing
Before transport, DMS Arnold & Hanl carefully catalogues your archive holdings. In this way, we preserve and maintain the structure of your archive as well as all files and documents. Archives whose structure must remain unchanged are relocated to the new archive site with 100 percent consistency.
Archive relocation / transport
The actual transport is carried out using specialised archive systems. DMS has developed a range of packaging solutions that include security containers on wheels, archive boxes and additional transport trolleys. On request, the boxes can be sealed. Transport is then carried out in modern trucks with fixed box bodies.
